BEVERAGE MANAGER
NoBo Mrkt is seeking a highly skilled and hospitality-focused Beverage Manager to oversee and optimize all aspects of our coffee and cocktail bar operations. NoBo is a collaborative cafe, craft bar, retail market and restaurant located on 8th Street along the Boardman River and within Commongrounds Cooperative, a collaborative project focused on food, family, arts, and wellness. Our most important product is the experience we offer our guests, and we aim to create the highest quality service-focused environment while serving exceptional food and drinks.
As a manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest experiences, while effectively forecasting, planning, and facilitating supply orders; directing and mentoring staff, and managing finances. You will join the management team alongside our Chef/Kitchen Manager and General Manager.
Your objectives will be to maximize sales and revenue by consistently exceeding guest expectations; fostering engagement among our team of baristas, bartenders, cooks and servers; and maintaining a strong focus on beverage quality and efficiency of service.
Primary Responsibilities:

Oversee and work within a multifaceted beverage bar serving specialty coffee, tea, alcoholic beverages and other craft specialty drinks

Manage all beverage-focused operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards

Demonstrate excellent guest service

Create exceptional beverage recipes, purchase supplies and continuously make necessary improvements

Identify customers’ needs and respond proactively

Recruit and train additional beverage bar team members

Establish targets, KPI’s, schedules, policies and procedures

Comply with all health and safety regulations

Report to management team regarding sales numbers and trends
Requirements:

Proven food and/or beverage management experience
-
Current working knowledge of and proficiency with various computer software programs (MS Office, Quickbooks, Google Suite, restaurant management software, Toast POS)

Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently

Mastery in delegating multiple tasks while also working alongside your team behind the bar

Proactive communication skills

Awareness of regional food and beverage trends and best practices

Ability to manage a team and meet financial targets

Guest-oriented and service-minded

Culinary school diploma or degree in food service management or related field preferred
